What I do
I help them with questions such as how to -----keep their business in Russia, how to adapt to life in a new country, integrate themselves into a community, become a legal resident, and, as a whole, how to grow----within their new reality.
My name is Alisa and I support entrepreneurs, freelancers, and those in search of their place in the world.
I work under the standards of the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

Not long ago I called myself a business coach. With my clients, I used to focus on metrics such as money, creating stable systems [teams, projects, products etc.] or attaining a certain emotional state or role. Now, the world has changed, and the new priority is stability, a search for inner peace and adapting to a new environment. This brings my business coaching to a wider range of questions about life and your role in it.

What makes coaching valuable and relevant today is that it gives you time and a safe space for exploring topics which are full of strong emotions and fears. It's a time and space for remembering your needs; for returning optimism and encouragement to yourself and finding your inner pillars of strength.
About me and coaching
I came out of the rational environment of IT, so I am a devotee of scientific approaches and principles. At the same time, I'm all for adventure and experimenting, and exploring emotional states, because I strongly believe that the thrill of life, drive and results come from interest and a sense of purpose.

In 2021, I was all for broadening my views and diving deeper into the existential questions of life. Starting from 2022, I'm focused more on inner pillars and creating resiliance in the world.
I help them with questions such as how to keep their business in Russia, how to adapt to life in a new country, integrate themselves into a community, become a legal resident, and, as a whole, how to grow within their new reality.
You decide what coaching will involve, whether that is overachieving and efficiency, or reflection and understanding of yourself. My approach involves comfortable, gentle changes.
Notes
What coaching is
Coaching is your deliberate decision to devote time and attention to some issue in your life. It definitely isn't some one-time magical pill, but a systematic tool for lasting and visible changes.
A coaching session is a partnership in open-ended questions with neither teachers, nor advice. It helps you to keep going no matter what: through doubts, fears, and a lack of motivation in search of purpose and zest for life.

A session is a safe space where you can thoroughly consider your decisions, look at your situation from a number of angles, analyze your energy and resources and receive direct feedback. It's also an opportunity to regularly devote time to important and new ideas that often get lost in our daily routine. It's a chance to hear and recognize your needs and come up with ways to meet them; an opportunity to fall in love with your strengths and use them for steady and consistent growth.
Topics in sessions are not restricted to my professional expertise. I'm especially interested in attention, focus and habit management, which is a meta skill that can be applied to all areas of life. You can bring up your thoughts about both work and your personal life.
It's not consultations
We work within the present and the future, but not the past. Coaching helps to manage your energy and motivation, by working with emotional and physical states. I will point out to you anything I feel should be spoken about with a therapist.
It's not psychotherapy
Even if I have a similar experience, I remain neutral to help you find solutions that work best for you. Still, the personality of a coach and her experience influence a session: they help to see your blind spots and ask specific questions about them. That's why my main interest is focus and habits.
It's not mentoring
Requests
What your request may look like
"I've left Russia and I don't know what to do next. I'd like you to help me understand what I want to build and where I want to do that. Where to live, how to adapt to this new reality, who to communicate with about this?"
"I've stayed in Russia, and I don't know what to do next. I'd like you to help me understand how to work, live, and express myself in this new reality"
"It's important for me to define a driving vision of my future: where I'm going to be in the next 5-10 years, what I'm going to be doing, who's going to be with me, what I'm going to be like. Answers to these questions will help me make decisions and changes here and now that will bring me to point B."
"My new role gives me more responsibility and a larger scale of influence. I'd like to understand what I should focus on, how to achieve results not as an expert but as a manager, and not to get lost in minor tasks"
"I'm observing the world around me, learning about spiral dynamics, and realizing that I want to grow to higher levels in what I am doing, to develop my team and the people around me. I need to understand how exactly I can do that"

Examples of topics
Values: what's important and what's irrelevant for me? what should be my point of reference, what is my target metric?
Blockers and boosters: what helps me to achieve my goal and what doesn't?
Mental capacity, ability to integrate, personal growth: what is my perfect balance of changes and routine?
How does my focus work: what influences it and what distracts me? How do I create better conditions for efficiency?
What lies behind defocusing
Destructive patterns and unconscious drivers
Stable focus: in the long-run, the coherence of goals
How exactly do I come to decisions on what projects to take or skip in my life: defining the criteria of projects, processes and goals. A pattern of being impulsive.
How to stand my ground and maintain boundaries in an polite way without being a moron about it.
My background
Gestalt therapy came into my life in 2019. Since then, I've ----moved to another country, changed my career path, the people around me and my attitude towards my life ----and myself. I've learnt things that I hadn't noticed in myself over 28 years.
Coaching and psychology are what I live by; it lights me up, fascinates me, helps me and people around me to become sincere and effective in relating with ourselves and the whole world.
It struck me so much that I passionately began looking around and inside me for what clicks — through experiments and iterations I've created relationships, a lifestyle, environment, and career that I sincerely call my dream life. That's what I openly and honestly talk about on my Instagram, without any instructions on how to properly live your life.

In 3 or 5 years I see myself growing in the impact business sphere, so if you're interested in it too, you're welcome here.

Results of sessions
The expectations
Defining important things and saying no to everything else becomes natural. It gets easier to make decisions, to consciously choose your top-priority for this period of life. It's a chance to clearly feel what you want your future to be and become more confident about your choice because focus is about choice and the ability to say no to other things. It then becomes easier to be realistic about deadlines and your potential.
You receive a feeling of being focused and confident about your decisions and yourself
1
You get better at knowing your needs, your emotions and feelings. You learn how to deal with fears and doubts, jealousy, anxiety and FOMO, and to step into the position of an observer. You can create higher-level decisions on how to choose experiences for yourself or leave situations that make you feel bad. You become confident about the fact that you have a right to do it.
You develop self-awareness about what you feel
2
You start noticing other strategies in people and to see your inefficiencies and those of others. You will change your motivation from "moving away" to "moving towards". You'll learn to work with responsibility: what you can control and where the boundaries are of what you can't. You'll attain an understanding that you can cultivate the qualities you want in yourself.
You improve your thinking strategies
3
Getting feedback and analyzing your strengths and weaknesses help you to expel compulsive thoughts about yourself and understand which of them are helpful for you and which are not; to get a more objective view. You receive a space for accepting yourself where you can organize your ideas and thoughts. You realize what it means for you to live your life fully and to feel ok with that, even if you are not in the place you want to be yet.
You feel more stable and comfortable about yourself

My hypothesis was that focusing would speed up the overall development of our analytical department: I'd work more effectively, the results would be better and the emotional state would be more comfortable. To jump ahead a bit — that's exactly what happened.

In the beginning we defined what focus means for me and came up with the topics that would help me move closer to it. I wanted to better explore switching from an expert to a manager's role, to identify the ideal result for my department in 6 months, define roles and processes in my team and find blockers: the skills, views, and unnecessary actions that slow me down.

As a result:

1. I evaluated the impact of tasks that I accept today on my entire career. This added value to my purpose, a feeling of progress, and confidence in what I'm planning to do.

2. It's easier for me to keep focused now as I've reconsidered and fixed the boundaries of my responsibility and reorganized the planning system. I feel more control now, I enjoy work more and deal with difficult situations with a sense of humor. I accomplish more.

3. I began to understand my manager role better and to feel what exactly I should develop the next year.

4. I've improved communication and transparency in business relationships with stakeholders and my team: specified and realized with whom, in what way and when we should involve in overall vision planning for 6 months in order to take into account opinions and interests of different parties and to manage expectations. On an individual level, I understood the value of conflict and discomfort and how to use it; how to deal with a difficult situation so that it would help my team move to a new level.

5. I've paid more attention to hiring: the process, approaches, the profile of a 'suitable' candidate.

6. Among specific changes, I'd like to emphasize a grade-up and a 15% raise in my income.

All in all, we planned 6 sessions and I already felt success on the 5th session, so we conducted a reflection of the results. To stop and point out the changes was also useful.

Our next task is bigger: it's about my whole life context, not only about work. I decided I want to have a look at a broader perspective after feeling a massive boost from coaching in the sphere we dealt already with.
The question that I brought to sessions with Alisa was about focusing on my professional expertise.

Our main focus was fulfillment and enjoyment of being involved in the daily activities of my life. I wanted (and that's what happened!) to understand why I stop myself from starting anything new and what blocks the mental state in which I love to live.

After 6 sessions with Alisa (we'd sketched a plan for 5 meetings at the kick-off meeting) I managed:

1. To see how personal influence and self-development are connected; we identified where and how my perfectionism absorbs me and holds me back in certain situations. I've now learned how I spend my energy and when to stop doing so.

2. To clearly define self-care and bring yoga and relaxation back into my life.

3. To admit that social involvement is important and pleasant for me and to realize what I expect from communicating with people.

4. To explore, on a physical level, the different ways how I feel and to choose the one I want.

5. To come up with career pillars: what I can do, what I enjoy, what my values are, and how I can manifest them in what I do.

After our meetings I felt more focused, obtained a deeper understating of the original question, and I grasped more clearly what to do next.
I had never tried coaching before working with Alisa. My goal here was to explore the topic of personal influence and self-development: how to introduce them into what I do in my life; how to explore and evaluate my strengths.

I have already achieved some goals, while others are still in progress, but I'm working on them.

For me, coaching is something like psychotherapeutic sessions but with a greater focus on doing, not on exploring yourself and your past :)

Alisa is my kindred spirit. After talking to her, I always felt energized, even when the topics of our discussion are difficult.

I also appreciate her clarity and focus on results. Sometimes I'd lose focus and get distracted by minor details, but she always brought me back to the initial point in a smooth but clear way.

I suppose anyone can come to her with any existential issues and questions :)
I feel that working and focusing on certain areas of life (we worked on the Wheel of Life) were productive. I clearly understand now what I want in different areas and how to bring my ideas to life.

It seemed that there was a stumbling block because I only brought up issues in my career and income during the sessions. I tried to do the same thing with Alisa.

She was able to understand immediately that my real request lay in another sphere: designing my lifestyle, my relationship with my body and with health, my relations with people and with my inner values which really suit me. I realized I almost had a burn-out at work though I hadn't even noticed that!

Coaching with Alisa helped me to find new perspectives and inner purposes in my career, find absolutely different goals: to get away from the 'quantitative' SMART goals and replace them with deeper ones, to extend my vision and zone of planning. To understand how I can grow as a professional not only in my area but also in a wider context. And most importantly: how I can connect my professional growth to my values, i.e. what kind of person I want to be.

I enjoy the fact that I can see the big picture of my life and understand how deeply everything is interconnected. Before these sessions I would do some actions that seemed unrelated to each other, not resulting in anything, but now I do everything with an understanding of how exactly it helps me to grow and why I need it.

Before, I devaluated many of my actions as they 'don't result in sales' and I couldn't make myself step into sales. As a result, I felt guilty.

Now, I've seen the purpose and value of what I study and do, I've started to share it more often with people. And I realized that my way is not about 'direct sales' but about building a steady personal brand. It wasn't the income but the constant growth of my expertise and professionalism that my goal was connected with.

Thanks to Alisa, her precise questions and exercises I am finally able to see, be aware of and to accept my strengths. As an example, I study a lot, do research, and think and discuss my ideas with people. Alice helped me to realize that this isn't procrastination (as I had thought thanks to a not really good experience with coaching and mentoring), but valuable work that's interesting for people. She also helped me to set goals based on my own strengths. And she told me I don't need to simplify myself for people to come to me.

Alisa, thank you very much for digging so deep and hitting the nail on the head, for being able to listen and hear, for paying so much attention to a person's values and identity, for working without any frames and with all areas of life. It's awesome that you didn't follow my formal request that I had brought to you but helped me to see my real tasks and goals.
Before working with Alisa, I had already tried coaching and mentoring but, unfortunately, I couldn't stay motivated and achieve the goals set during the sessions.

And it was then that I chose to pursue my interest and inspiration and started to study, though it was absolutely unclear where to go and what to do.

Starting in June, I spent 5 months with Alisa, meeting almost every week for coaching sessions. At that moment I was working in a lot of different areas, and I wasn't comfortable getting rid of my 'safety net', which was yoga coaching. I was thinking about getting a new job and not just relying on acting entirely, as I didn't know how I could make money with it.

Thanks to coaching, I've accepted my dream, found the confidence to follow it and immersed myself into this sphere. I've started to take part in film-making and to make money from the thing I love. I've learned to rely on what I have (it turned out I had a lot of resources and skills that I hadn't paid attention to), build confidence, start to distribute efforts more effectively and to plan my schedule. It's easier for me "to do", my fears have disappeared (including the habit of competing, which absolutely kills acting). Now I see more possibilities.

For me coaching is something that gathers you up, and gives you energy and confidence. It's an opportunity to return to a state of resourceful activity and to yourself.
It all started with our first meeting in January when I admitted to myself that I want to be an actress.

That uncertainty, that indecisiveness was the thing that prevented me from moving on; it made me go around in circles and become really confused.

But then Alisa asked me: 'How do you feel in your self-acceptance? Where's your energy, your resources?'

I often come back to that moment. Because you can't fool your feelings and emotions. It lights me up and makes me glow when there are no doubts or awkwardness because of endless mismatching introjections in my head.

That's what I've got from Alisa. I've started small for now; by allowing myself to buy a pink fur coat.
…at the first session I said that my main goal was to become a good friend to myself, to accept myself. During the next sessions, I started to feel doubt: 'What if I should change after all?'

FAQ
How do I pay?
Before starting the sessions, we'll sign a coaching contract for the number of sessions that is appropriate for your situation.

If you're in Russia, you can pay via transferring money for the session plan to my Tinkoff card. I am self-employed, so I will send you a receipt.

If you are in any other country, I'll give you details for an international bank or cryptocurrency account.
Notes
How are we going to choose a convenient time for a session?
If we meet every week, I'll suggest setting a fixed day and time as it helps discipline and creates a habit. I'll send a link to Calendly for you to find a convenient time slot.
Notes
How often should I have a session?
I recommend meeting every 7-10 days as it's the best way to have enough time to implement these changes and receive feedback. If we meet less often, you may feel that you 'forget what you are doing' and experience procrastination, but this option is fine for some people.
Notes
What if I don't like it/don't feel comfortable?
I'll return your money for the sessions that didn't take place.
Notes
When can I use sessions from the plan I choose?
Within 6 months.
